- We have been in business since January 1, 2005. Prior to that Eric worked in the construction industry for his father-in-law (Aarow Building) for nearly 10 years
- You will find we have high reviews on Facebook, Google and others. Customer satisfaction is our primary goal. I work very hard to please everyone I work for. If you don’t like something about your project, don’t hesitate to speak up. We want you to be happy with the end result. It’s your home, your opinion is what matters.
- We have an extensive portfolio page divided up by job category. We install lots of backsplashes and tile floors as well as custom tile showers. Click the link and see what projects we have worked on in the past
- We do carry General Liability insurance as well as Workmans Compensation insurance. Both certificates are readily available and we would be happy to email them to you
- Visit our Contact Page for our complete contact information. Below is the two most common requested pieces.
- I would like to think we publish lots of high value content for free. We have an extensive YouTube Channel Page that documents our installation methods and completed projects, as well as blog posts that feature the same thing. If there’s specific content you would like to see, just ask. We are always looking for new ideas.
- There are many variables that go into pricing out a project. For the most part a custom tile shower will run about $5,000+ depending on size, features and amenities. Tiled showers are classified as custom plumbing fixtures, there’s a lot of skill and knowledge that goes into building one correctly.
- I only require the tile to be purchased from our store, Legacy Bath & Tile. All other fixtures can be purchased wherever you would like. I do have recommendations on brands (Moen, Delta, etc.), but those aren’t a requirement for us to install.
- We don’t use many sub-contractors. Typically a glass door installer is the only other trade that would come on my job. Anyone I would recommend is fully licensed and insured as required by the state.
- We typically work Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30. Occasionally we will work a Saturday, but the homeowner has to approve. There is typically no added fee for Saturday work, some homeowners just want a quiet house for the weekend.
- Our billing is always done in at least two stages and vary’s slightly by job. We always collect 1/2 down on the first day and then half of the remaining balance on Friday. The remaining balance of the job is always due upon completion.
- I try to keep homeowners up to date on the progress of their job so they know when they can expect us to be completed. Major milestones are always demolition being complete, rough-in installed, waterproofing complete, then finish installed. We tend to progress quickly and sometimes multiple milestones are achieved the same day.
- For us, change orders are very rare. Typically a change order is due to the homeowner wanting to make a last-minute design change to the job. Sometimes there is no added fee for the change, other times there are. In every instance the change order is done in writing prior to new work commencing and the homeowner will approve. We do not tally change orders at the end of the job, we don’t want any surprises when it comes to billing. On the rare occasion that a change order occurs due to an unforeseen or unexpected event (extensive mold or water damage being the likely cause), the same rules apply. If it is something that we cannot handle, then our cost remains the same and the change order is between the homeowner and the other contractor (mold remediation is not something we are equipped to handle)
- All our jobs are fixed price estimates. Unless a change order has been submitted and approved, there is no change in cost between estimate and final bill.
- Presently, my company consists of me and one full time employee. I am on the job most of the day, but there will be times when my employee is left on the job by himself. I am still the responsible party for all work completed, I will not leave anyone that is unqualified to maintain our high standards of installation.
- We work one project at a time from start to finish. When I am on your project, you have my full attention.
- Drive time is part of the estimate procedure, there is no separate bill for driving.
- I don’t have a refund policy, as I have never had a customer want one. I will do the very best I can to satisfy you, I am sure there will not be a need for a refund going forward.
- All our work carries a minimum of 1 year warranty. Tile work has a lifetime manufacturer warranty (registered with the manufacturer) as well as a workmanship warranty. Our shower waterproofing system also carries a lifetime manufacturer warranty against leaks.
- Presently I am the only Certified Tile Installer (#1329) in Columbia, MO and the only member of the NTCA (National Tile Contractors Association)
- Of course I think I’m a trustworthy guy. It’s my hope that after meeting with me you will agree.
- Our start dates vary year round. Typically we run between 4-6 weeks out, though we have been 6 months out before too. I have never had a customer that was disappointed that they waited on us to get there.
